Sledding in Colorado

Yesterday my friend Kaitlin (the girl standing on the right of me) invited me to go sledding with her and some of her friends. It was really fun. There was a lot of snow up in Colorado and it was snowing off and on. We had a great time but I forgot how tiring it is to climb back up the hill to go down again. These are some of Kaitlin's friends from Institute.

This is Shaun, Kaitlin, and Anthony. They are all friends of Kaitlin.

This is a picture of Kaitlin and me. I video taped a few of us riding down on the tubes together and it is pretty fun. Take a look. I forgot that if you are watching something slide down a hill and you don't move chances are you are going to get hit.

This other clip is Kaitlin and I riding down on one tube although we weren't supposed to we had to get everyone down the hill and it wouldn't be fun to just walk down so we both rode down.

The next video is my favorite. Some of the guys there were trying to get Kaitlin to throw them into the snow. Well I told them how they should proceed with throwing her in the snow and the following is the video of it. I seriously can watch this over and over again.

I had a lot of fun. Hope you all are enjoying your Christmas break.

Accident Prone

Well these past few months I've been accumulating some bumps and bruises. I took a volleyball class this semester and had tons of fun but I was designated the setter and I'm not a setter. Well lets just say a little while back I was trying to set when a kid from the other team hit the ball down and bent my thumb backwards. OUCH! It got swollen immediately and it bruised really bad. I just thought I would post a few pictures.
My whole hand got bruised and it was really sore. Then a few weeks later I did it again and pretty much my thumb is messed up now.
Well during Thanksgiving I went to Arizona and saw my family. Well the first day there I was playing this little boy and were playing. I know he looks so cute and innocent, but after playing with little guy we hit heads and as you can see he was fine but....
I got a black eye. My whole eyebrow swelled up and it was pretty funny. As soon as his head hit mine I put my hand to my head and I could feel the bump growing. It's the only black eye I can really remember getting and the crazy thing is that there is still a small bump on my eye.

O Chirstmas Tree!

I know I should be studying for my New Testament final but your brain can take only so much at a time, so I thought I would share with you what I have been staring at the past few hours. This Christmas was the first that I've spent with roommates and we decided, well Addie and Cassie decided to get a tree. Isn't is so pretty. I love it. It makes us feel a little more Christmasy since the only decorations we really have up are small. I just love Christmas.

We put silver and purple balls which I love because I love the color purple and the star on top was not really meant to be for the tree, but we didn't have one so when Lyndsey brought another star home I told her to stick on the tree and I must say that it looks pretty good.
I just had to show you a close up of the star and the sign in the background. I painted that sign and so far I have had many compliments on it. I thought it was pretty funny to. Just in case you can't tell, it reads, "Mistletoe testing done here." However, I we don't have any mistletoe so none has been tested. Well better get back to studying. Hope you all have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we decided to go to Arizona to Heidi's house. I thought it was a great idea. It was warm, well kind of it did rain. Heidi and Darren converted there house into a hotel. It was fun. There were five families there including Rebecca and myself. She even turned her garage into a room, which I might say was the best place in the house minus the obnoxious noise the water softener made. Well this was the set up on Thanksgiving day. Kids outside on the kid table free to spill if need be and the adults were in the house.
I must say that this Thanksgiving was really fun. We played games and even had a family baseball game, which I will post later. This is
Lijah and Asher just having a good time.
I thought this was a cute picture of the three boys as they were waiting to go to the zoo.
This was a cute picture. Ben and Parker had a good time together. Brad was often supervising wrestling matches between the two of them. I must say they both held their own well. It was fun to watch them and if someone got hurt they would both would give the other a hug and make sure they were ok.
This last picture was Parker's idea. I thought it was a good one. These are all of Heidi's kids. You sure can tell they belong to each other. I had a really good time and have lots of more pictures to post from the trip.

Lights

This past Sunday was the First Presidency Christmas Devotional and my roommate Adrienne had tickets to and I got to be one of the lucky ones to join her. (Thanks a ton Adrienne you're the best) Well it was really neat to be able to go and listen to the prophet in the conference center. Well afterward we made sandwiches and ate in the back of Richards car. (Richard is the guy in the middle, I brought him along to the devotional) Well it was pretty fun. After that we walked around and saw the lights and Temple Square. They were really pretty.
Starting left to right: I can't remember this guy's name oops. Sarah, she is a friend of Adrienne's from back home, me, Richard, Adrienne, and her friend Matt.
This was just in front of a different reflection pool thing. If you are wondering what I am wearing it is a
fleece blanket that I brought and wrapped around me so my legs would not freeze.

This picture Adrienne just snapped and I thought it looked a lot better than the other pictures she took of me so just in case the bad one gets put up you can refer back to this one. He he he
Just another picture in front of the temple. It was really pretty there. However there were some lights that weren't on. There were also some big trees that were covered in lights. I can't believe how much time must go in to wrap every little branch with lights.
Finally I just wanted to add this picture so you could see how pretty it really was. If you've never been or haven't been in a while I recommend it.
