Yesterday on campus they had a pumpkin smashing. Inside one of the pumpkins was $411. It is a campaign thing for the university paper. I registered to be chosen but I never win these things. They pulled out 10 lucky people and had them smash the pumpkin.
This is the girl that won. She was pretty excited about it and it was pretty fun.
Today on campus I saw some pretty good costumes. There was a tetris piece, a girl dressed as an ipod with music playing out of her. I saw Mario and even a shark. Some people are so creative. I never know what to do for Halloween. Then I came to work and found the following great costumes.

The Weekend
This past weekend was BYU Homecoming. Carrie and I woke up early Saturday morning to go to ESPN Game Day. We weren't to close but we inched our way up to one of the barriers. I was supposed to go to a review for math but Carrie convinced me to stay.
I was happy I did because right at the very end of the show the camera came right up to us and we yelled and screamed into it. We had a few people say they saw us so I was pretty excited about it.
Afterward we headed down to watch the parade. They also serve free blue pancakes along the parade route. They were yummy!
Just a float from the parade.
After all that fun Carrie and I headed to the game. We were having fun at the beginning and were all smiles. However, at the end of it we were upset and disappointed.
After the game I was set up on a date with my friend Starkey. My other friend Richard wanted to go out with my roommate and needed me. We went to a building that wasn't done being built and climbed to the top of it ate dinner up there then made paper airplanes and flew them off the top. It was a really fun date although it was probably illegal. After that we watched a movie. Overall it was a really fun day, but now I have to get to work and study for all of my exams!

Homecoming Spectacular
It is BYU Homecoming this week and last night Carrie and I went to the Homecoming Spectacular. I've gone every year since I've been up here and I absolutely love going. They always put on a great show. Every year they have a theme and someone that represents that theme. This year it was on Eugene Roberts. He was an athletic director here. They told this funny story about how he wrote under a pseudo name as a distinguished European writer and was able to persuade the town to do renovations for buildings and roads. Well he decided to take it a step farther and convinced hundreds of people to come to this world renowned pianist concert. In reality it was him dressed in disguise and he played chopsticks and pounded his fists on the piano and in the end he received a standing ovation. Well the dancing and music were great and I'm glad I went. Tomorrow ESPN College Game Day is coming to Provo so I'll have to let you know how that goes, I'm way excited!Tuesday, October 20, 2009
Weekend Away
This past weekend I took a little trip down to see my new nephew Spencer. If you thought he was cute in pictures, he WAY cuter in person. As soon as I walked in the door I was handed the baby and had a swarm of children by my side. I LOVE being and aunt!
I had such a great time we played baseball in the park, wrestled, watched movies and played games.
What a bunch of goofballs!
I held Spencer as much as was possible. When he was being fed was about the only time that I didn't hold him.

Vegas
Friday Carrie, Lyndsey, Danielle, and I headed out for Las Vegas after we were done with classes and most of work. Our first stop was Maceys grocery store to stock up on the snacks for the drive.
We were all so excited for a little weekend road trip. Carrie was super excited!
We drove down to St. George that night and stayed with Carrie's grandparents. We didn't do much there other then eat pizza and read text messages.
We goofed around that whole night and tried taking some pictures but this is about as good as we ever got.
Our excited faces as we were leaving!

When we got there we stopped at the Premium Outlet mall. It was very large and had lots of great stuff. We shopped as long as we could before becoming completely exhausted. The weather was great the whole day and we had lots of fun.
I picked up three shirts and a really cute jacket for a total of about $20! I thought it was pretty good.
This picture is pretty funny because there was all of the sudden a bunch of fish and apparently by the time Lynds took the picture there were no fish.
