Last weekend Cory and I headed to Joseph City where he grew up. It was Founders Day and they have a little celebration. Saturday morning we ran the 5k and then went to the breakfast at the church. Later that day we went to a BBQ at the fire station and watched an auction. After all of that fun we grabbed a four-wheeler and Cory showed me around the town and drove through wash. It was a lot of fun.
We rode up to what is probably one of the highest spots in the area and you could see the whole town along with the sunset, which was really pretty.
This is the power plant in JC.
We had a great weekend and that night we went out to what they call the "Bad Lands" or those of you from Kirtland would call "behind the dump" and shot off fireworks with his uncle and friends. The stars out there were beautiful because there were no lights from a big city nearby. Overall we had a great weekend.

Looks like you guys had fun. The area kind of looks like New Mexico a little.
